A lot of songs came and went before IAN QUINN settled on his new collection for the album River Or The Road. “I kept at it until I felt it was a well balanced collection of Australian story songs with a wide range of topics from the bush to the SCG,” says Ian. “Songs not only about our history but the Australia we live in today.”

It’s a good summation from a man formerly sitting in the bush ballad camp, but one who has now stretched the envelope and sitting in that broader Australian story teller paddock that includes the likes of JOHN WILLIAMSON, with a diverse range of styles from contemporary to traditional, and a corresponding diversity of songs.

The first single with its strong story line is a great introduction to the new Quinny.
