2009 has already started off well for Sydney artist MERILYN STEELE having her last single (NfS 125) If I Were A Bird nominated as a finalist in the 2009 Tamworth Songwriters Association (TSA) Awards for Children's Song of the Year.
Her third single from the album superbly produced by MATT FELL, Information Blues, is a song of clever satire which has become a typical trademark of Merilyn's songwriting and this one no exception. A light-hearted send-up of the drawbacks of today's technology and information 'overload' with so many forms of communication and marketing directed at us all - everyone can relate to this song in one way or another!
Expect to see and hear much more from Merilyn in 2009 with some video clips coming up and increased festival appearances.
